Fettuccine Alfredo

Fettuccine Alfredo Recipe
12 oz. fettuccine
6 tbsp. butter
2/3 cup whipping cream
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. white pepper
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tsp. dried parsley
Cook fettuccine in large pot of boiling salted water 10 minutes; remove from heat and drain. Return to dry pot; keep warm.
In large skillet, heat butter on medium low heat. Cook 2 minutes or until butter melts. Stir in salt, pepper and nutmeg. Remove from heat.
Slowly stir in Parmesan until smooth. Heat long enough to blend cheese.
Pour sauce over pasta in pot. Stir on low heat until thickened, about 3 minutes. Place fettuccine in heated dish. Sprinkle with parsley.
Serves 4
