Mayonnaise Cake
Mayonnaise Cake Recipe
2 cups flour
1 cup granulated sugar
4 tsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. salt
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup boiling water
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 can (12 oz.) buttercream frosting
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and lightly flour a 9 inch square baking dish.
In large bowl, sift flour, granulated sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
Add mayonnaise; mix well. Add boiling water and vanilla extract; mix well.
Pour into baking dish. Bake 30 minutes.
Cool completely in pan. Spread frosting over top of cake.
