My Favorite Sandwich
This is my favorite sandwich - an open faced shrimp sandwich. In various sizes and styles, these expensive sandwiches are served at almost every café establishment. The best part about this shrimp sandwich is that it is so much cheaper to make at home than it is to buy at the cafeterias.

INGREDIENTS
1 sandwich
* bread
* 1 lettuce leaf
* 1-2 hard boiled eggs, sliced
* mayonnaise
* cooked and peeled shrimps, as much as possible
* 1 slice of lemon
* 1-4 slices of cucumber
* 1 wedge of tomato
* fresh dill
METHOD:
1. Butter the bread.
2. Place a lettuce leaf on the butter.
3. Arrange slices of egg on the lettuce leaf.
4. Pipe mayonnaise onto the egg slices.
5. Place shrimps on top of the mayonnaise.
6. Decorate with a slice of lemon, cucumber slices, a tomato wedge and a dill sprig.
Twenty five years ago, I had my appendix removed. After surgery, my diet consisted of only liquids for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I wasn’t allowed to eat real food for five days. So, when I was allowed to eat solid food again, my husband bought me a large shrimp sandwich from the hospital’s cafeteria. I can honestly say this was the best sandwich I have ever had.
