Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake Recipe
1 package chocolate cake mix
1 cup creamy peanut butter, divided
3 squares semisweet chocolate, melted
3 cups confectioners’ sugar
6 tbsp. milk
2 tsp. vanilla extract
For cake: Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and lightly flour a 13×9 inch baking pan.
Prepare cake mix according to package directions, substituting 1/2 cup peanut butter and 4 tablespoons butter for vegetable oil.
Spoon batter into pan. Bake 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely.
For frosting: In large bowl, combine remaining peanut butter, remaining butter and chocolate. Beat with electric mixer on high speed until fluffy.
Slowly add confectioners’ sugar to peanut butter mixture. Beat in enough milk to make a spreadable frosting. Beat in vanilla extract. Spread frosting over cooled cake.
